Here's a really interesting video that looks at what studies tell us about how best to motivate employees. Turns out that just offering cash not only doesn't work, it can actually be counterproductive!

We're positively thrilled to report that our favorite charity, Room to Read, has successfully built a library at a school in Nepal.
Shree Kisani Primary School is located in a village called Arman, located in central Nepal. Most of its students are very poor, and although parents and teachers saw an urgent need for a library the local school administration lacked the resources to build one.

Along with our regular roundtables and live webinars, classes and webcasts, we've started Virtual Interest Groups, which are interactive web-based gatherings with specific themes. Our first Virtual Interest Group was centered around change management, and it was a huge success!
Thanks to David Nottingham at United Space Alliance for providing the benefit of his experience and knowledge to the participants.

The eBook market, which already has many retailers and readers being offered by the likes of Amazon and Apple, is set to get a new, potentially gigantic player: Google. Starting this summer, Google Editions will offer the biggest single source of electronic books for download to a range of devices.
But unlike the stores of Amazon or Apple, Google's offerings will not be associated with any particular device. You can transfer Google Books to a whole range of devices, and Google will also provide additional retail channels for smaller bookstores.
