Eddie Vidal has over 20 years experience in various areas of Information Technology. His focus is primarily on Service Delivery and Support for IT infrastructures. His current position is Manager, Enterprise Support Services for the Information Technology department at the University of Miami.
Eddie’s experience is in higher education, hospitality, and travel. He has led project management offices, managed multi-million dollar budgets, created Service Level Agreements, implemented customer service initiatives and re-engineered organizations.
Eddie has also excelled at public speaking with topics ranging from IT Service Delivery Metrics, Marketing, Communication, CRM Databases, Motivating Employees, Building Professional User Groups and Call Center Monitoring. He has spoken at local, regional and HDI and Fusion conferences.
Eddie currently serves as HDI Southeast Regional Director, President of the South Florida HDI local chapter, and is a member of the HDI Desktop and Member Advisory Board. Eddie has earned certifications for ITIL V3 Foundations, OSA and HDI Support Center Manager. Eddie was recently selected to chair the Virtualization Track at the Fusion 11 Conference and Metrics and Measurements Track for HDI 2012 Conference. He has also been published in HDI’s Support World Magazine.
